A Value Added Pack for an established brand.

To mark Graham’s Bicentenary, Symington Family Estates sought a commemorative packaging that would honour both heritage and craftsmanship. The result was a vibrant design in rich colours with marbled textures and embossed details inspired by Porto’s architecture and tiles, capturing the artistry and timeless character of the brand.

The Challenge

Symington Family Estates were looking to create packaging for its 2015 special edition Late Bottled Vintage Port that celebrates the exceptional landmark of Graham’s Bicentenary.

Strategic
Approach

The tubes and creative process were inspired by the skill and attention to detail required to produce wines of consistent quality. Presented in deep red, royal blue and ochre, thecommemorative edition tubes added a splash of vibrant colour to the port category and proved to be incredibly popular.

Solution

The tubes were designed using handcrafted marbled paper which reflects the craft and attention to detail of the brand and builds on our heritage in honouring the craftsmanship that goes into producing wines of such consistent quality. The front and back labels are adorned with beautifully embossed detail inspired by a combination of Porto’s wrought iron balconies and traditional Portuguese tiles (azulejos) to evoke memories of Porto’s charming streets.

Working with Think Bold Studio was a breath of fresh air.
